Failure Analysis of Lightning Rod Flange Cracking in a 110 kV Substation

  • 摘要: 针对避雷针法兰产生的开裂失效事件,对避雷针法兰开裂失效原因进行分析总结。首先对开裂断口进行宏观微观形貌观察,其次通过无损检测、化学成份分析、力学性能分析和金相检验等方法对避雷针法兰开裂失效进行了相关检测。检测结果结果表明:在平均风荷载、脉动风荷载的共同作用下,避雷针长期处于摆动状态,其下部法兰处受到此交变弯曲应力的作用,使得角焊缝处存在未溶合、覆盖及咬边等焊接缺陷,导致严重的应力集中,进而开裂。最后结合此次失效的原因分析提出相应的预防措施和建议。

     

    Abstract: Combining with the cracking failure event of lightning rod flange, the causes of cracking failure of lightning rod flange are analyzed and summarized. Firstly, the macroscopic and microscopic morphology of the cracking fracture is observed. Secondly, the cracking failure of the lightning rod flange is detected through methods of nondestructive testing, chemical composition analysis, mechanical property analysis and metallographic examination. The results show that under the combined action of average wind load and fluctuating wind load, the lightning rod is in a swinging state for a long time. Due to the influence of structural steel, the lower flange of the lightning rod is subjected to the alternating bending stress, and there are welding defects such as incomplete fusion, covering and undercut at the fillet weld, which would lead to serious stress concentration and cracking. Finally, the corresponding preventive measures and suggestions are put forward based on this failure analysis.
