Abstract:
With the vigorous development and continuous industrialization of the new energy lithium battery industry, it is particularly important to effectively reduce the energy consumption of the lithium battery drying process and cut costs for enterprises. In view of this, this study designs a vacuum drying device that adopts steam as heat source to replace traditional electric heating plates and heating tubes for lithium battery heating. The device realizes heat exchange between steam and water, and heats layer plates as well as battery cells via heat conduction. A vacuum pump is used to evacuate the working environment of battery cells to lower the boiling point of water, so as to rapidly and efficiently remove internal moisture from battery cells. This paper mainly completes the heating system design, vacuum system selection, baking effect test and energy consumption test of the equipment. The results show that the equipment can reduce the energy consumption cost of this process by 47.5%, which verifies its good feasibility and operational stability and provides an innovative solution for the industry. Furthermore, steam heating technology has broad application prospects in lithium battery manufacturing.
