Abstract:
This paper focuses on the development of the seat frame for the driver’s seat of a certain off-road vehicle, with an emphasis on establishing and implementing a forward-engineering process for body components that covers the entire cycle from design inputs, structural design and simulation analysis through to experimental validation and the freezing of the technical specification. This research defined the key performance indicators and design control points of the off-road vehicle seat frame, and formed an engineering design scheme that meets the requirements of vehicle safety. It verified the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed forward development process, as well as the consistency between simulation analysis methods and test results, confirming that the seat frame design is adaptable to the complex service conditions of off-road vehicles. Meanwhile, it provides a process template, technical basis and engineering practice reference for the standardized and efficient forward development of similar body seat components, and also strongly supports enterprises in improving the parts development system, shortening the development cycle and reducing research and development risks.
