Abstract:
During the mining process, mobile equipment may not be detected in a timely manner due to damage or detachment of spare parts. Various iron tools may mix into the ore and enter the chute and crushing transportation system, causing scratches on the belt surface and tearing of the conveyor belt, as well as major equipment accidents and losses such as ore blockage, tooth punching, and broken shaft of the crusher. In view of this actual working condition, a set of automatic iron cleaning robot system for mines has been designed. The control system of this system consists of ABB industrial robots and Siemens PLC, which are combined to optimize the hardware and program design of the workstation control system. The on-site test results show that the system can automatically detect and clean non-metallic iron objects in ores. The overall operation of the system is stable and in good condition, meeting the requirements of on-site production and greatly reducing equipment failure rates and improving mining production efficiency.
