Abstract
Based on the process characteristics of surface grinding for knives and scissors, the functional relationship between the grinding parameters and design parameters is analyzed in this paper. According to the different features of the cutting and grinding face, three processing methods are presented, including the two-axial interpolation method, the cutting edge vertical translation method and the multi-axial joint processing method. Then the points of manual programming and software drawing programming are pointed out. The experimental verification shows that the grinded cutting edge lines and contour shapes meet the design requirements, the thickness of cutting edge is consistent; the grinding surface roughness of scissors reaches Ra 0.4 μm, and the dimensional accuracy is within ±0.01 mm. It effectively improves the quality of knives and scissors products, as well as the production efficiency.
