Comparative Simulation of Milling Process Parameters of Titanium Alloy based on Advant Edge

  • In this paper, aiming at milling machining for the thin-walled parts, 3D milling simulation of titanium alloy is carried out by using AdvantEdge software. The important variables in the structural and milling parameters of cemented carbide milling cutters such as the teeth number, helical angle, diameter forward angle, cutting edge blunt circle radius, milling mode, spindle speed, etc. are selected, and single factor comparison analysis on the impact of these variables on cutting force and cutting temperature is conducted so as to get the exact values of each variable after optimization. It provides theoretical support for research on the milling stability of thin-walled parts in the future.
