Design and Research on Tension Monitoring System of Coal Mine Scraper Conveyor

The scraper chain, as the main load-bearing component of the scraper conveyor, is prone to malfunctions such as chain jamming, chain breakage, and floating chain during long-term operation, which seriously affects the safety and efficiency of coal mine production. In response to the above issues, in this article, chain tension is chosen as the main parameter to judge the status of scraper chains, and a real-time monitoring system for scraper conveyor chain tension is designed, which can achieve real-time collection, remote monitoring, and fault alarm of scraper chain tension values. The system adopts an embedded wireless tension collection device to collect the tension of the scraper chain on site, and the data is transmitted in real-time through the wireless network. Remote monitoring and fault warning are carried out by the remote upper computer, effectively ensuring the safe and stable operation of the scraper conveyor.
