The Design and Analysis of a Kind of Robot End Effector for Low-Voltage Draw-Out Switch Cabinet

  • To meet the automation requirements of low- voltage draw-out switch cabinet operation and solve the technical problems encountered during the operation of the switch cabinet, this paper designed a robot end effector and conducted finite element analysis and experimental studies on it. Through the analysis of the switch cabinet operation tasks and working environment, the functional and structural requirements of the end effector were determined. With an innovative mechanical structure and driving method, precise grasping, pushing and pulling, and locking operations of the switch cabinet drawer were achieved. Finite element analysis was used to evaluate the strength and deformation of key components, thereby optimizing the structural design. Finally, the performance of the end effector was verified through experiments, and the results showed that it could perform switch cabinet operations with high precision and stability in a reliable manner. Based on the analysis of the finite element and experimental results, it was concluded that the designed compound robotic end effector had a reasonable structure and appropriate material selection, and could meet the operational requirements of low-voltage draw-out switch cabinets.
