Center Drive Tubular Sludge Collector Debugging Issue Analysis and Solutions

  • With the rapid urbanization in China, wastewater treatment has become a critical aspect of ensuring water resource safety. The center drive tubular sludge collector is a core component of wastewater treatment equipment, and its debugging and maintenance directly impact the efficiency of wastewater treatment. This paper documents various issues encountered during on-site debugging of eight secondary settling tanks, including scraper rubber strip dragging on the ground, excessive height difference of sludge suction pipes, electric motor failures, etc. An analysis of these problems was conducted, along with corresponding solutions proposed, such as adjusting the height of the sludge suction frame, scraper board, and sludge suction pipe. Water quality monitoring and equipment operation parameter detection were employed to ensure that the rectified equipment met design specifications. After rectification, the center drive tubular sludge collector operated smoothly, achieving the designed rotational speed for the sludge scraper, meeting secondary sedimentation water treatment standards without black sludge floating up. The study indicates that through appropriate operational maintenance measures, the operational efficiency of wastewater treatment facilities can be significantly improved, providing effective technical support for subsequent wastewater processing.
