Study on Dynamic Characteristics and Lifting Parameters of Wire Ropes of Multi-Rope Friction Type Hoist

  • To prevent rope collision faults caused by large lateral vibrations in multi-rope friction mine hoists and to determine appropriate hoisting parameters, this paper analyzes the dynamic behavior of hoisting wire ropes with constant length and variable length under periodic external excitation induced by fluctuations of the head sheave. Corresponding dynamic models are established and experimentally validated, and the effects of different hoisting parameters on the lateral vibration characteristics of the hoisting wire ropes are systematically investigated. The results show that large-amplitude lateral vibrations are usually closely related to the inherent characteristics of the hoisting wire ropes and the external excitation conditions. When the excitation frequency falls within the critical resonance frequency range, large lateral vibrations can be excited, thereby inducing potential rope collision. The research results provide theoretical support and technical guidance for the optimal design, safe operation, and maintenance of hoisting systems.
