Structural Fatigue Strength Analysis and Experimental Research for Frame of Electric Three-Wheeled Sanitation Vehicle

  • Electric three-wheeled sanitation vehicles are widely used in municipal cleaning and landscaping operations. As the primary load-bearing structure, the frame often experiences insufficient strength during actual service. In this study, a three-dimensional model and a finite element model of a certain type of electric tricycle frame were established. The application positions of external loads and constraints under different material loading conditions were determined. Static strength simulations of the structure were carried out under three types of loads: leaves and paper debris, sludge and sewage, and stones and metal materials.Strain gauges were then attached to the high-stress regions of the frame for experimental testing. The validation results show that the errors between the simulation results and experimental results are all less than 6%, indicating that the simulation analysis is accurate and reliable.Based on the measured stress data and with the aid of the Goodman fatigue limit diagram, the fatigue strength safety of the frame structure was evaluated. The research results demonstrate that the frame design of this type of electric three-wheeled sanitation vehicle meets the requirements for both static strength and fatigue strength. The findings provide a reference for the structural design and safety evaluation of electric tricycle frames.
