Design and Application of Frequency Conversion Binary Speed Regulation Algorithm in Stage Boom Control

  • Traditional stage boom control systems mostly adopt a constant-speed control strategy, which leads to large positioning errors and difficulties in achieving zero-speed stopping. To achieve precise control of both speed and position in boom systems, this paper proposes an integrated control scheme. By combining an IPC, PLC, high-performance multifunctional frequency converter, and AC motor, a dual closed-loop control structure is established. On the basis of accurately determining the deceleration braking distance of the boom, a binary speed regulation algorithm tailored for stage booms is introduced. A comparative analysis using speed monitoring software was conducted between the proposed binary speed regulation algorithm and traditional constant-speed control. The results show that the binary speed regulation method can significantly improve the smoothness of the speed curve and positioning accuracy, and it demonstrates superior performance during deceleration and positioning. It achieves precise zero-speed braking, effectively reducing the effects of mechanical inertia and positioning errors. Experimental results verify the feasibility and reliability of the proposed scheme, providing a new solution for achieving high accuracy and stability in stage boom control.
