Abstract
To address the issue in traditional worm gear systems where tooth surface wear under high torque transmission leads to increased backlash, thereby affecting transmission accuracy and stability, this study designed a dual-lead worm gear transmission system. In this system, the tooth thickness of the worm increased proportionally along the axial direction, while the tooth thickness of the corresponding worm wheel remained unchanged. This design allowed the meshing clearance to be adjusted by axially moving the worm, thereby improving transmission accuracy. The reliability and practicality of the proposed transmission system were ultimately verified through finite element analysis and experimental testing.
