Analysis of the Influence of Oxide on the Mechanical Properties of 27SiMn Hot-Rolled Seamless Pipe After Heat Treatment

  • 27SiMn hot-rolled seamless pipe is a commonly used raw material for hydraulic support cylinders in coal mines. It is generally not used directly in the hot-rolled condition but is mostly applied after heat treatment. During billet hot rolling, oxidation reactions readily occur between the steel and oxygen and moisture in the high-temperature air, resulting in the formation of an oxide layer (oxide) on the pipe surface. This study analyzes the mechanical properties of two thick-walled 27SiMn hot-rolled seamless pipe specimens after heat treatment, obtaining relevant results regarding the influence of the oxide and verifying the extent of its effect on mechanical properties. The experimental results provide a reference for the application research of hydraulic support cylinder materials in the coal machinery industry.
